Virgin America's new “younger, hotter” advertising campaign, with slogans like “Fool around with a younger, hotter airline” plastered on billboards and tag-lines including “Dump your old airline for a younger, hotter one,” exploits women's bodies to sell airline tickets. What's more, the campaign reinforces notions that women are replaceable, and their worth is measured in youth and beauty.
