Kalamazoo, Michigan police were tasked recently with clearing out a homeless encampment in Kalamazoo. A group of outside agitators including showed up and took advantage of the situation with the intention of assaulting police officers and causing a large amount of mayhem.  assaulted a Kalamazoo police officer with a flagpole and then pepper sprayed additional officers. did this while armed with a firearm. Additional parties in group dumped urine on officers.

Since arrest, . has not shown any sign of remorse. has started a change.org petition with over 1,000 signatures.  releases small tidbits of carefully selected video to paint as the victim and has openly claimed that was forced to defend against violent police officers.

While we agree homelessness is a crisis an outside agitator showing up to assault police officers and cause mayhem have no place in society.  This was clearly intent and in own words told police "I am prepared"  The victims of crimes not only include the officers who were injured but the homeless individuals who were forced to witness this during an already traumatic time and the community as a whole which has had to tolerate lying and painting as a victim causing divides in the community and flaring up tensions.

We ask that the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeffrey Getting remove this violent individual who is out on bond from our society.  Violence against individuals has no place in our society.  bond should be immediately revoked and should face prosecution for crimes and a lengthy prison sentence.
