Donald Trump should be removed from the WWE Hall of Fame

0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!

For years WWE has provided fans with the action, excitement and entertainment that can only be found in the world of pro wrestling. Has the company always been politically correct? No, it has not. It has, however, made many strides in regards to inclusivity and diversity over the years. WWE's current roster and fanbase is quite diverse, and the members of WWE's Hall of Fame reflect the diverse tapestry that make up its universe. Fans from all walks of life and backgrounds enjoy WWE all over the world.

In 2013, Donald Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. His hotels were used as venues in early WrestleManias, he was a noted friend of the McMahon family and even participated in a WrestleMania match. With these credits to his name, WWE saw fit to induct Trump into the celebrity wing of its Hall of Fame. Trump has contributed to WWE with his celebrity, but his recent acts as president of the United States should disqualify him from his continued presence in the Hall of Fame. Trump has time and again endangered lives all over the world with irresponsible Tweets, dangerous improvised statements on television and statements that have shown he'll be tough on minorities, but not on Russian interference or hate groups.

In the same way WWE has erased Chris Benoit from its history for his transgressions, the same must be done with Donald Trump. His treatment of women, minority groups, the LGBTQ community, American troops and many other groups should not allow for his continued presence in the Hall of Fame. He has not upheld a reputation with the quality and accolades that should be praised and honored by WWE. Please sign this petition demanding WWE and Vince McMahon to have Donald Trump removed from the WWE Hall of Fame. He does not represent the best of pro wrestling, WWE or its fans.
