Stop NMC Chief's £20k pay rise

How is is possible for the Chief executive at the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) to obtain a recent pay rise of £20K totalling her annual salary to over £197K. Whilst Registeted Nurses in this country continue to be forced to live with the 'cap' on their pay and have to attend food banks to support themselves for food. Meanwhile as a registered nurse in this country and in order to practice whether in the NHS or private sector we have to pay the NMC registration fee of £120 per year!! This is totally unjust and unfair. It's an insault to the nursing profession and all that we stand for. Realistic pay for nurses "must"happen. Statistics already show a large number of nurses that a leaving this profession due to the cap and low pay nurses face. Fair pay and recognition for the nurse role is required immediately. And a review of the NHS pensions.
