We the citizens of the Village of Riverton, IL. are tired of paying high utility bills. Over the last few months, some bills have doubled or tripled from the normal bill. In these uncertain times due to Covid 19, with some people wondering if they will have a job from day to day, this is unfair. How are we supposed to be expected to pay higher than normal utility bills in a time when people are experiencing financial hardships right now? We believe that it is time for a change and to allow the citizens to have another choice for utility services.
