STOP 4G (the Trojan Horse for 5G)

Cell Tower/Small Cell (Deployment of 18 Booster Nodes) in Flower Hill, Manhasset!

Citizens of Flower Hill Manhasset (and Neighboring villages):

Next meeting: June 3, 2019 at 7:30 pm Village Hall

The installation of 4G antennas (easily upgraded to 5G) are being proposed on our residential streets within Flower Hill. The most susceptible to this harmful radiation are fetuses in utero and children.

5G small cell towers are popping up everywhere without proper testing for safety by telecommunication companies and government agencies. They are also anything but “small.” These are new poles often over 30ft tall and house strong Antennas at the top that can accommodate up to 5 Telecommunications companies at once. Some will be under the guise of 30 foot tall streetlamps, with large batteries and sound emitting fans to displace heat. Currently, Verizon, which did not attend the May 6th Flower Hill meeting, wants to place 4G on Extenet’s Poles. Extenet then markets this new found real estate to AT&T and so on, doubling and quadrupling the radiation we’re exposed to without our consent. More importantly, our public consent was never considered before launching this assault on our town nor were the people of Flower Hill notified within a reasonable time frame of the first PUBLIC meeting held on May 6, 2019.There were, however, meetings with our board of trustees as early as 2017 with Extenet!

Some of the homes that have Antennas being proposed on their property said they did not receive their certified letters as required  by village code. Since the village owns the first 15ft of your property off the street, they have control to install these Poles on your property that house all of these cellular networks. In July of 2018 when Extenet met with the village, the Mayor walked the sites and approved them, the Village code was also changed in Aug of 2018 and filed to accommodate these applications. Some of the streets listed as sites are Dogwood lane, Manhasset Woods rd, Pine Tree Ln, Elderfields Rd, Walter Ln, Drake Ln, Eakins Rd. to name a few. Keep in mind these systems only work if there are many set 500 ft apart therefore this would only be the beginning for Extenet to get their foot in the door.

Extenet’s May 6th meeting focused on 4G even though they advertised it was 5G!?!?—Extenet updated the meeting to the apparent surprise of the town board as 4G even though the meeting was called to review “5G.” There are different FCC laws around 5G - which is still not available to the public.

There is currently a Macro-site on the Steeple of Congregational Church, and a Micro Site approved for Munsey Park which borders and impacts flower Hill (the 30 ft flagpole on the triangle at Manhasset Woods rd and Park ave will be replaced with a 50 foot antenna with a flag attached and fan cooling box at base).

According to Extenet this site in Munsey will not work properly WITHOUT the 18 proposed small cell nodes boosting the power ALL OVER FLOWER HILL. The dissemination of all of this frequency is contingent on placement and disbursement within the residential streets of Flower Hill where our children, play, sleep and live. Extenet is currently proposing a minimum of 18 new sites (some masked as “Street lights” randomly placed) as well as use of current and new, larger utility poles in proximity to private property. They will house an Antenna node on top, a box the SIZE OF A SMALL REFRIGERATOR AT THE BASE with a cooling unit.  Over time, additional carriers, will be added as EXTENET GETS MORE LEASES and updates to those sites will be made!  Importantly, the town of flower hill will receive revenue from rental of these poles.

Wireless radiation from older technology has already been linked to cancer, heart disease, diabetes, miscarriages, birth defects and infertility.

To clearly understand what we’re dealing with, 3G and 4G wireless technologies use between a 1 to 4 gigahertz frequency. 5G uses between 24 to 90 gigahertz and it is increased by carriers when necessary without notification to the public. This means up to 90 billion electromagnetic waves hit the cells of the human body per second PER CARRIER that can be added on which can be up to FIVE AT ONE TIME.

Once fully operational, 5G towers would unleash DNA-damaging levels of radiation on our residential areas.  Despite widespread denial, the evidence that radio frequency (RF) radiation is harmful to life is already overwhelming…5G has been banned in Belgium. The collective minds of scientists from over 40 different countries have accumulated clinical evidence of the harm resulting from exposure to EMFs (Electromagnetic Frequencies) generated by electric and wireless devices before the additional 5G roll out.

As Flower Hill residents, we are extremely concerned with the full deployment of 5G wireless technology and its untold effects and DO NOT consent with its installation or the ‘Trojan horse” being covertly labelled 4G which Verizon workers say we currently have.

The installation of 5G is a violation of our constitutional rights. We can turn our cell phones off at night—but, with 5G passing continually through our brains and bodies, there will be no respite from this radiation. We need to connect within our community as parents and families in order to protect our children and grand-children.

We are NOT mandated to comply with the FCC—this CAN be vetoed as other states have already done! Munsey Park declined to have the small cells put up all over their town as they propose to do in Flower Hill. To stop the full deployment of these 4G & 5G Antennas, we need your support! We are stronger together. It’s our responsibility to protect our families and the environment in which we live. Please sign this petition, show up to the next hearing on June 3, 2019 at 7:30 at Village Hall or email the village Clerk:, and let your voice be heard!
