The Petition of  citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention government our concerns to the proposal to transport and store contaminated soil from the Westgate Tunnel Project to Hi-Quality Ecohub Facility at 570 Sunbury Road, Bulla.

Some 1.5 million m3 of spoil will be generated from the Westgate Tunnel Project, the tunnel authority admits that it is contaminated with PFAS and asbestos at varying levels.

Transportation is through the town of Bulla and over the historic bluestone bridge built in 1869.

The Hi-Quality Ecohub Tip is located across the road from the Villawood residential land and is 1.5km from developed areas of Sunbury, home to 40,000 residents and another 19000 dwellings approved.

The facility borders Emu Creek that feeds the Maribyrnong River System. Home of Growling Grass Frog-Endangered Species.

Hi-Quality Group have a history of failing to uphold the requirements under agreements with the EPA.

The statewide risks of potential cross contamination with the nearby Veolia organics facility that services horticulture and viticulture industries across Victoria and a large network of farmers producing our everyday food needs is to great of a risk.

Unknown community health impacts for generations to come is unacceptable
