Cardinia's rural residents are suffering disproportionately as a result of Melbourne's ongoing lockdowns. Many rural residents have no amenities, services, parks or friends within 5 kilometres of their homes.

These residents live rural lifestyles, many of them on small acreage or commercial farms. People in these areas are suffering from the combined effects of stress, isolation and uncertainty which is compounded by their physical distance from support services and basic necessities like supermarkets.

Cardinia's rural towns WITH A POPULATION OF LESS THAN 3000 PEOPLE should be released from Melbourne's lockdown and able to join regional Victoria's step on the roadmap effective immediately.
