Change Sunshine Coast to Orange Zone

Change Sunshine Coast to Orange Zone
Why this petition matters

We are petitioning for Sunshine coast to be made an orange zone, or for reasons for it remaining a red zone to be shared publicly.
Noosa was made an ORANGE ZONE on Sunday 4th July, despite exposure sites listed below:
- 2nd July - Humdrum Expresso
- 1st July - Sala Thai
- 1st July - Blended Health Bar
- 27th June - United Petroleum Eumundi
- 28th June - Sunshine Beach Newsagency
- 28th June - O-Ren Brew House
Sunshine coast remains a RED ZONE despite limited exposure sites listed below, the most recent is 10 days ago:
- 29th June - University of Sunshine Coast
- 29th June - Coles Sippy Downs
- 23rd June - McDonalds Glass House Mountains
- 22nd June - Dominos Maroochydoore
It is clear that decisions aren't being made based on data, but on politics. We are petitioning for decision making to be transparent and the reasons for Sunshine Coast remaining a red zone to be clearly articulated, or downgraded to an orange zone.
Currently there are no requirements for governments to justify their decisions, or be open about the reasoning behind them, leaving many to speculate about who was holidaying in Noosa that had the power to influence such decisions. Governments need to be clear and transparent in decisions that impact people's livelihood and mental health.
