During the school week of September 23,2019-September 26, 2019, Victoria West High School had an assembly that was lead by  The School Principals and Counselors. In this assembly it was told to the students that students attendance were low at the time, so they wanted to start on 9-23-2019 with the attendance rules for exemption for mid term exams. This would encourage school attendance and give the students a chance to be exempt from their exams as per the original protocol. It did encourage attendance but school personnel now have changed the attendance requirement to include all days since the first day of school. Many students and parents feel this is not alright after their child had worked hard to achieve this. I am asking for as many students, parents and other community members to sign the petition to show the school they should honor what they said.
