In the physical education system at Victor High School, you are given units based on your gender. When given the co-end units, there are limited options. The girls are given options such as yoga and spin bike, while the boys are given units like floor hockey and basketball. Students that I have talked to are interested in units that aren’t available for their gender. While they do allow trans students who’s gender aligns with the binary, non-binary students are left to be confused as to what they are supposed to do. There are no reasons as to why all people cannot take these units, and we want a change. Students at Victor want a system in place that creates a safe environment for all students of any gender identity, and that creates equality for the student body. Myself and others are willing to help administrators create a new solution that will allow for more inclusive education for all.
