Nicole Medina started this petition to TCU Chancellor Victor Boschini and

University Drive is a constant nightmare for both pedestrians and vehicles. Students rushing to class oftentimes cross the busy street, even when the stoplight is green. Although many locals are familiar with these pedestrian patterns and usually stop or slow down to avoid students, this is not always the case. Several life-threatening accidents have taken place due to illegal crossing and students, as well as faculty members, have suffered the price. Efforts from TCU PD to manage the problem have not been effective as pedestrians continue to cross when officers are not there. What TCU and the Fort Worth community needs is a bridge.

A Pedestrian bridge between TCU's west and east campus would dramatically improve the safety and flow of traffic across University Drive. Students would eliminate the need to risk their lives to be on time to class and busy commuters could save up to 10 minutes of standstill traffic each day (over 24 hours a year). Whether you're a student or resident, show your support for this simple yet intuitive solution to one of the biggest traffic and safety concerns in our community. Let's not make it a students vs. cars issue. Let's unite to solve this problem together.
