Promotions and Appointments of Teachers in Delhi University
Promotions and Appointments of Teachers in Delhi University

Teachers in Delhi University are waiting for promotions and appointments for more than 10-15 years. There is no action taken by the Vice Chancellor inspite of adoption of UGC regulations 2018 by the University and the assurance by MHRD in the 5th December letter. DUTA is being hijacked by some vested interest groups who are misleading the teaching community by prioritising the trivial demand of absorption over the genuine demands of Promotions and Appointments for the sake of vote bank politics. As a result, even the possible demands of Promotions and appointments are ignored and are slowed down by the University. This has resulted into the deadlock and status quo in the University and the frustration among the common teachers. Thus, there is need to have an organised action outside DUTA in a non political manner so that the University administration understands what a common teacher wants and expedites the process of Promotions and Appointments.
Therefore, You are requested to sign this petition so that we can tell the University that we are not for any unjustified demands and just want that the genuine demands of the teachers are met. We hope some good sense would prevail on otherwise insensitive and slow University Administration.
