TO WITHDRAW THE DECISION OF 60/40 PATTERN FOR LAW FACULTY TAKEN BY THE VARSITY.

The Students Law Council vehemently condemns this arbitrary decision of 60/40 pattern implemented by the university.

The circular declared in 2001 is implemented now in 2018-19 academic year. No university in Maharashtra is following this particular pattern in law and have revoked this pattern whenever implemented.

In the year 2011-12 this pattern was introduced but the Professors instead of taking lectures were compelled to do all the project work & activities. Subsequently, when they opposed, it was recalled. Therefore this arbitrary decision of implementing this rule raises doubts in the minds of students.

The ATKT as well as the regular students are in tremendous pressure and are confused which rule to be followed.

Consequently, raising fear & anxiety in the minds of students for which the Varsity is alone responsible.

The appalling thing which the Varsity did was, they passed the circular just before the exams.

The Law colleges are charging heavy fees from the students & are not following the FRA rules. Its seems this is the new trick of University to muffle the voice of students who raise their voice against this malpractice of arbitrarily charging of heavy fees.

This power which is given to them by the VC, Mr. Suhas Pednekar has paved a way for wide scope of corruption as the colleges will barter favour from the students.

The remedy resorted by Mr. Suhas Pednekar is worst than the diseases for which he alone is responsible.
We the Students Law Council demand resignation of the VC else we will be compelled and constrained to organise a protest in this regard.
The Students Law Council strongly condemns this regressive, dangerous, self defeating & unwise proposal.
