Dr. Felicia McGinty must not participate in the Rites of Passage ceremony for students of color at Rutgers University NB. Though she serves as the Vice Chancellor of 'Student Affairs', Dr. McGinty has positioned herself as an adversary to important student issues and concerns.
McGinty has worked to silence student voices and student movements across the campus, including social justice groups who concern themselves with issues disproportionately affecting communities of color, specifically the black and Latinx communities.
Given that both individuals and groups have stepped forward to share documented incidents and/or accounts with multiple sources which display McGinty’s lack of support and respect for the student body, we have created this petition to make our sentiments known. This is our moment, and we are calling for a representative who truly supports and leads in our community.
