Austerity is a choice, not a necessity, and it is a choice that will further privatise higher educational rendering it increasingly inaccessible for students, hostile to workers, and pernicious to the broader community, while reducing the range and quality of research possible.

In a time of Crisis all Educators must chooses to strengthen and learn from quite voices or reinforce the ugliness of elitists. Inequalities are never challenged by reducing support & participation by those Marginalised by it. Sussex uni staff deserves better. We all do.
