The Immigration and Refugee Board along with the Federal Court of Appeal have rejected the claim for refugee unjustly and without all evidence. There has been a great injustice in the process for an individual without legal counsel at no fault of his own. We are simply asking CBSA and the Immigration Board to stop his removal scheduled for June 11th and allow a pre risk removal assessment.
Muhammed is a citizen of The Gambia. Gambia has been in violation of human rights, freedom of speech, and protection for their citizens. Amnesty International, the United Nations, and other human rights groups have been active in reporting on the conditions in Gambia for anyone in opposition to the current regime and government, dictated by President Yahya Jammeh, a result of a coup take over in 1994.
Please view link for the current Human Rights Watch 2013 report. http://www.amnesty.org/en/region/gambia/report-2013
Muhammed is active through social forums in expressing his opposition to the Gambian government. Returning to the Gambia is not an option. His political opinions regarding the disappearances, tortures, murders, executions and low standard of living is being watched by the N.I.A (National Intelligence Agency) in the Gambia.
Please take a stand in helping Muhammed stay in Canada, stay away from his high risk of capture, and allowing the CBSA to re-assess his situation through the worsenning conditions in the Gambia.
Canada's aim is suppose to be "A person in need of protection is a person in Canada whose removal to their home country or country where they normally live would subject them personally to: a danger of torture; a risk to their life; or a risk of cruel and unusual treatment or punishment"
Let's fulfil or promise outlined in the law.
