School students should be able to top up their Myki cards on school buses with cash like they have always been able to do previously especially in regional areas where top up facilities are far less accessible! Cash is legal tender but in July 2021 the Minister for Public Transport, The Hon Ben Carroll announced the permanent removal of cash transactions on board buses using myki without a reason why! This action is robbing our youth of this important life skill and accountability for the community!
