OUR ROADS NEED FIXING NOT LOWERING OUR SPEED LIMIT!

Vic roads has dropped our speed limit for a length of 15 kms along woods point road between reefton and Warburton east from 80 km to 60 km indefinitely as they are putting off fixing our road which is disintegrating due to works at the upper yarra dam. Locals are driving an extra 10 minutes per trip which has lots of residents spending an hour a week more driving more than the already long commute to work etc. They say speeds are reduced due to extra trucks on the road even though trucks have been flat out for 2 years already.  Their other reason Is due to excess rain which is strange as we live in a water catchment area! The have assessed the road and admit it needs fixing but are not assessing again until November when works at the upper yarra dam will be finished. This is 3 months away! This means a minimum of 6 months at least before we see speed limit going back up again. This road is very dangerous for all who use it  and needs fixing properly immediately not 3 to 6 months or more. Please help by signing and sharing this petition
