As a Eurovision Song Contest fan and media professional, I believe that the American commentary of the show could use the perspective of someone who truly LOVES and KNOWS the show. Paired with the fact that I am a media professional who would be qualified to take on the task, I believe that my coverage before, during, and after the contest would only benefit Logo TV and the EBU's efforts to make the Song Contest a global phenomenon. 

A mere 52,000 viewers tuned into last year's song contest in the US. Chris McCarthy was named President of VH1 and Logo TV in May 2016 and boasted about bringing the Song Contest to the US in his corporate bio. However, this decision seemed rushed and without ample content created before the contest and after— it was not setup for success. I DO NOT want this to happen for 2017... 2018... and BETYOND!

I began video blogging about the Eurovision Song Contest and some of the national selections over a year ago. I am an active member of the global Eurovision family and believe that my media experience and knowledge of the Contest would take America's broadcast to the next level.
