Recently, students at Venice High were restricted to the usage of restroom facilities in only 3 places throughout campus. Additionally, a rule regarding being able to leave the class was added - no student may leave during the first and last 15 minutes of instruction. This restricts students to only being able to leave during the middle of the instructional period - which is far more damaging to their education in the classroom in comparison to the "15-min rule". 

There's also been the introduction of a "uniform hall pass" which all students must use should they need to leave during that time. Not only is it unsanitary, but it's extremely counterproductive when one takes into consideration the emphasis on COVID protocol throughout campus. 

What's shocking is the lack of student opinion that was taken into consideration when these restrictions were implemented, even though the school administration places such an importance on the "student community". Not only are a majority of students unhappy with these restrictions, but they are also upset about the circumstances under which they were put into place.
