They want to build a jail where the elementary school that my kids and I attended. Also, there is a Sr High School on this same street that student walk past on a daily basic from school. This is an Afro American Community and has been since the 60th. They talk about this jail been built here will bring in revenues to our community, they said that about bring in casino to Saint Louis, MO so how did this elementary school fail to remain open. Our future generation attends the Sr High School (Normandy Sr. High) on one corner and on the other corner is a Jail. How do you big self esteem with our future generation when they have to pass a jail everyday from school. We have allowed drug to infest our area already now a jail filled with Afro American. Where do we draw the line and how must to it take to buy our sole. The government of our community always treats us like we are the criminal in the neighborhood, so why allow this to happen. We need to stand together and fight for what is our everyday life. Our kids and our kids kids, because if they get this jail build we will never get it out of our community. Why do we want to drive down our community and see this? You can't go into St Charles, MO, St Peter, MO, Creve Coeur, Columbia, Brentwood, and Ladue just to name a few, and see a Jail in their community. Where is the community that is putting a jail in their community?
