Habitat loss is a big problem in the Post Oak Savannah ecoregion. Many animals lose their homes due to forest fires each year. Not only does this affect the animals, it also damages the environment. Many trees are cut down by farmers for land to crop. This injures the animals living in the ecoregion and forces them to move out of their homes. It harms the environment and the eco-region. Most forest fires are caused by farmers who use fire on the land to clear it in order to have more land to plant crops. We can stop, or lessen this by putting a limit onto how much land can be used to farm.
