Veganism should not be censored

This is a counter-petition to the petition entitled "Veganism should be inclusive of all political views". Do not be fooled by the seemingly harmless title; the petition was established by individuals who do not value the freedoms we enjoy in the UK, US and other freedom-loving nations.

The original petition was established by anti-abortion campaigners in response to a tweet by the Vegan Society of the United Kingdom that expressed their support for a woman's right to choose to have an abortion. Disguised as an attempt to welcome non-vegans to the international vegan community, the original petition is little more than an attempt to censor vegan individuals and organisations who advocate liberal thought and policy. The creator of the original petition explicitly states his belief that there are no links between animal exploitation and human suffering and that, as such, the international vegan community should censor all attempts by vegan organisations to address systemic human oppression and inequalities.

We the undersigned support the autonomy of vegan individuals and organisations everywhere and their right to express their views by peaceful means. As such, we support the right of the Vegan Society of the United Kingdom to express their views without censorship.
