The residents of Point of Rock Estates would like a sound barrier to be erected along I-295 to provide protection against the increasing traffic noise. There is currently no protection for a majority of the residents whose homes back up to I-295.The sound has become so deafening, that it’s uncomfortable to be outside during the day and virtually impossible to have a conversation while standing outside. Traffic  noise has steadily increased over time. As tax payers, we would like a sound barrier erected that will protect our neighborhood and quality of life like the barrier that was erected to protect the neighborhoods on the other side of Enon Church Road that also back up to I-295.
