Recently a letter was received from the Board of Directors announcing a budget shortage that would require an increase in HOA dues for 2022. The HOA payment was proposed to be increased to $850 annually due March 1 ($425)  and Sept 1 ($425). 

As a member of the HOA we have the opportunity to voice our opposition to the increase in fees by signing this petition. Per the letter:

"The Increase will automatically become effective unless owners of at least a majority of the lots disapprove of the Increase by petition or at a meeting of the Association. In that event, the last-approved budget will continue in effect until a revised budget is approved."

The letter references the improvements it would be allocated for but at very generic  description. When reviewing the 2016 Reserve Study, the allocations there are also generic in their terms and leave questions on the level of transparency of the budgeting spends. 

Due to the last minute nature of this notice to petition against the increase, I encourage you to keep your fees the same for 2022 and require further conversations on any RFP's (Request for Proposals) the association is seeking and technology improvements to keep the costs low without requiring increases that cant be reversed.
