This threat to Vanier as well as surrounding areas Beechwood, LindenLea, New Edinbburgh, Rockcliffe, Manor Park, Overbrook, Lowertown, and Sandy Hill comes from an organization otherwise dedicated to doing good...The Salvation Army!

The Salvation Army is planning to build a massive residence for the homeless on Montreal Road. This 100,000 square foot facility and the programs that it offers, will forever change the character of our communities and will bring with it all of the social issues of their thousands of clients...desperate poverty, addiction, and mental issues.

We, the undersigned, oppose the planned development of a Salvation Army residence on Montreal Road in Vanier. We believe that this influx of Salvation Army clients will lead to a dramatic increase in social problems and security issues in Vanier. We urge the Salvation Army to seek another solution.

I/We the undersigned, petition the Council of the City of Ottawa as

We want the city of Ottawa to deny permission to the Salvation Army to develop the property at 333 Montreal Road for the purposes of a residence and program delivery centre for the underprivilage
