Why this petition matters

Started by Linda Pavlos

My granddaughter, Vanessa Calhoun,  was 26 years old when she died after smoking Meth laced with Fentanyl on August 12, 2022.

There are people all over the United States dying from using illegal drugs and the people selling them are walking around free.  There are no laws available to punish them for these types of deaths!  This law would apply to ALL  person's involved in the sale of the drug causing that death, from the Chemist creating the drug to the drug dealer on the street.

I would also suggest that the only means to negotiate a lesser sentence is if the Defendant is willing to name as many as possible of his or her sources of the drug!!

I would also suggest that large fines be charged as well to pay for all the services and problems that the sale of these drugs cause.

Making the punishment as strict as possible may help save lives by making selling drugs a top punishment in any state as well as not so lucrative or safe.   Remember... Some states still have a death penalty.
