Tulasi Iyengar started this petition to Vanderbilt University Campus Dining

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the level of quality Campus Dining prides itself on has all but vanished. Especially since the start of the semester, food has been scarce on campus and Campus Dining doesn't seem to be eager to make any changes. We've heard COUNTLESS stories of people crying everyday due to a lack of food, people falling back into disordered eating patterns, and people running themselves financially dry to have a decent meal. The financial, social, and sometimes even medical manifestations of this food insecurity are beyond atrocious and they threaten a semester where mental health issues skyrocket and student satisfaction plummets. Munchies used to be a reliable source of food in the past; now items like water(in aluminum bottles) are being charged using meal money where the justification of reducing plastic doesn't quite hold up. Dining halls like EBI and Zeppos, that close an hour earlier than they did last year, run out of food at 6:30, well before the closing time. At this point we don't know what else to say other than charge us less, or give us more.
