Urge Vancouver City Council to reduce EV charging fees

The Vancouver City Council has agreed to charge timed fees to discourage EV drivers in using the City's charging stations due to their popularity. Charging a fee equivalent to the cost of the electricity is not unreasonable but charging $2/hour for Level 2 and $16/hour for Level 3 isn't when the domestic electricity rate is less than $0.10/kWh.
For 20kWh of charge that's a difference of less than $2.00 charging at home to about $8.00 at a charging station.
These new fees will make it much more expensive for EV owners to drive in Vancouver, the city that wants to become the Greenest City on Earth.
EV owners who do no have access to charging at home will be the ones financially punished by these new charges.
