Why this petition matters

Started by Srinivas Marg

The newly opened Express Lanes on Highway 237 in SF bay area have toll from      5 AM to 8 PM. This is a petition to change the express lane hours to be the same as carpool lane hours. The toll can range from $0.30 to $13 for the express lane. The carpool hours for HOV (or carpool) lane on SR-237 are 5 AM to 9 AM and 3 PM to 7 PM.

As you can see the new Express Lanes hours essentially take out one lane and make it a 2 lane freeway for people who cannot afford the tolls. As daily commuters, we all see and feel the congested Bay Area freeways. This new rule is going to make it worse.

This is a request for your support, as a group, we can influence to change this rule.  Please remember that all future express lanes on 101 and 880 will have the hours of operation making it even worst.

Thank you very much for your support.
