Stop Vallejo Violence

Violent crime in Vallejo is out of control. Shootings, assaults, robberies are a regular occurrence.
We, the fed up citizens of Vallejo, are taking a stand to demand the City request the assistance of outside law enforcement agencies to help our Police Department get control of the nonsense by requesting regular, consistent, mutual aid in the form of additional Officers from other agencies to enhance our Police departments staffing.
The City Council needs to pass an emergency resolution which 1. allocates emergency finding to the police department; 2. instructs the Police Chief to request assistance from, and enter into agreements for, police officer manpower from allied agencies, to include CHP, DOJ, Solano County Sheriff, and all other agencies in the surrounding area; 3. authorizes an effort similar to Operation Safe Streets, for an undetermined time period to reduce the occurrence of violent crimes and weapons offenses; 3. allocates additional funding to the Community Services Section of the Police department to enable them to increase their presently effective outreach and engagement efforts to build lasting relationships and trust within the community, as well as reestablish the Community Substations and the Beat Health Program; 4. increase the authorized staffing level of Police Officers to an appropriate level commensurate with population and crime rates, and an amount of Officers not less than 175.
