On Tuesday at Valhalla high school(located in Rancho, San Diego), there was a physical altercation during lunch hours between two girls. A staff member came to split up the fight, the girls kept fighting, and they all fell to the ground, but soon, one of the girls got up and walked away, while the other girl was still on the ground with the staff member. Eventually, he ended up physically hitting her in the face, choking her, & kneeling on her neck(rumors say she was also tased), which is banned even among law enforcement. She was resisting, but as a staff member, it is his job to keep the students safe, not intentionally hurt them, and as a grown man who was at least twice her size, he should’ve been able to pin her down without punching, choking, and kneeling on her neck. There are no excuses to be made here, and this is clearly a race issue because I can assure you this wouldn’t have happened to a white student or even a non-Black POC student. This man deserves to be fired, and better yet, never hired in the district again. This situation wasn’t a mistake, his intentions were clear, and he deserves to punish for it.
