I think that valentine's day should be a public holiday because many people in the world don't have that special someone to share their love with. So when they show up to school or work and look around and see everyone else eating heart chocolates. Reading love letters and making out they feel very depressed and sad. That same sadness and depression then start affecting everyone else because they feel very sad for that person. By making valentine's day a public holiday then it would benefit everyone.
