The Vale of Glamorgan football league committee have suspended all friendlies for associated clubs due to 3 reported Covid cases from junior/senior players  
These cases are not scientifically proven to be related to any football related activity and in making the decision to suspend football they have gone against protocols set out by the Welsh Government and Football Association of Wales.
To put this into perspective; The Vale of Glamorgan football league is the only league within the South Wales region that will not allow friendlies, even though Covid cases per 100,000 people are lower in our region than any other in South Wales.
Finally, it should be noted that it’s only the clubs within the Vale of Glamorgan League that have been stopped from playing in our region, football continues at academies, development centres and at all senior clubs who play above this level and these teams are playing all over South Wales and beyond - It is deemed safe for these teams to follow government and FAW guidelines but not for teams who only play within the boundaries of the Vale.
