After a few recent sunny days the litter left on Barry Island beach was absolutely disgusting. The nearest bins are on the promenade which means people will often just leave their litter where they are sitting.

As there doesn't seem to be an option to have wardens the cheapest and most effective solution would be to put wheelie bins on the beach. There could be ones for litter and mixed recycling. Council workers can move the bins when the tide is coming in when emptying the bins on the promenade.

At the moment all the rubbish is being left and washed into the sea. This is resulting in smashed glass being washed back up causing a danger to all visitors.

Not only will adding wheelie bins help clear our beautiful beach bit we will also hugely increase our ability to recycle and keep plastic and glass out of the Ocean!
