Our Board needs to know that if it is not safe for some, it’s not safe for ALL including SPED staff and kids!

I'm a teacher concerned for the health and safety of my students and fellow staff. Online learning isn't ideal, but opening schools while cases are still increasing will put the entire community at greater risk. Do not just look at the death rate-look also at the number of people who are severely incapacitated by this illness. I can't teach from the grave or sickbed.

I am signing because I am an elementary school teacher and it is near impossible to get our kiddos to stay 6 feet or even 3 feet apart all day and our district is not planning to screen anyone AT ARRIVAL as it is recommended ... they are only asking people to self- monitor and report symptoms . This is not a safe practice ! If daycares are required to screen their staff and kids then why is it ok if a school doesn’t ? I have two little ones at home (one is only 3 months old) and love all my students as if they were my kids... I would be devastated if they got sick :(

I don’t think it is safe for any age to go back to school right now. It would be endangering to all students.

I am a teacher and a parent with senior parents. All the way around I am concerned. I am concerned about my kids and students academics and social needs. My four year old needs an outlet and was suppose to start school. My mom dad support me with pick ups and drop offs but they are 69 and 70 years old. They will definitely have to minimize their contact with us if the kids return face to face. I have an underlying medical issue. How are expected to manage the CDC recommendations with returning to school. We had one janitor during the day at school. Kids can’t handle the social distancing part even now. They believe will be like it was and it won’t. Virtual is our best choice at this time to continue academics.
