Callum Jones started this petition to Uwe

Living Green Walls are an amazingly powerful and positive feature, which can transform an urban environment into a multi-beneficial one.

The reason I want to get people/students to sign this petition, is that there is even more firepower for the university to take climate action now! With more student noise, we could have our own vibrant improvement to; air quality (especially at Frenchay bus station), building insulation, urban heat island and wind tunnel effect, biodiversity and mental and physical health

Green Walls can be installed indoors/outdoors and benefit the environment instantly. Research shows that working/being near living organisms is better for our mental health, as well as indoor green walls reducing brain fog and fatigue from VOC‘s (Volatile Organic Compounds) in the air.

Green Walls can grow fruit, herb and vegetable plants for us to eat, provide volunteering and learning opportunities for students and add too our already successful UWE Beeline. Green Walls at UWE campuses will push UWE towards climate action and support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through re-wilding our campuses. They could also offset some carbon from new buildings and create a cleaner and healthier environment daily.

Help me make our university environment green and beautiful! - Because Our future is bright when Green Walls absorb sunlight:)
