Reduce the traffic jam in Uttarakhand during peak season.

The population of tourists in Uttarakhand has become three times in the last five years. This is leading to frequent and longer traffic jams in the mountain passes, and various other routes in the state. Vehicular pollution has also increased as a matter of fact. So we request the recipient to kindly consider this major issue, and frame suitable policy to reduce the incoming traffic from other states. I would like to suggest the Government of Uttarakhand to impose a ban on/regulate the entry of all vehicles from other states in the peak season and promote local transportation and tourist services, deploy new transport buses and encourage local population for investing in tourist transportation. This step, as a matter of fact, will eliminate a major part of the traffic and will also generate revenue, along with jobs for the local population. This might also help to bring the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation back on track, which is currently functioning in debt. People like me and my family, residing in Uttarakhand, face hardships in traveling in and out of the state and in commuting every day.
