The Mahishashur idol resembles Mahatma Gandhi at a Durga Puja allegedly organized by followers of Hindu Mahasabha near Ruby crossing, Kolkata. This is nothing but a deliberate attempt in spreading canards, running a smear campaign with a view to distorting and rewriting history. Nation In Distress condemns this act in no uncertain terms, and appeals to all fellow citizens to come forward, add their valuable signature and make this petition viral so that the administration is compelled to take a remedial action, and the culprits are not allowed to go scot-free. The offenders should be taken to task and punished in an exemplary manner so that such heinous acts to demean and insult our freedom fighters are nipped in the bud.
