Give Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks his job back along with his 9/11 benefits.

Utica Fire Chief Russell was suspended in May 2017, after filing for post 9/11 benefits based on responding, through a mutual aid agreements, to the New York City Terror attacks in September of 2001. The Utica Mayor, denied Chief Russell's benefits application and placed him on leave, stripping him of his authority, his car and his phone.
After the 9/11 attacks, first responders from all across New York, and the Northeast came to NYC to assist the FDNY. The World Trade Center Health Organization, founded to support these heroes, would actually fund the health benefits in question.
It's outrageous that the Mayor of Utica and his Corporate Counsel would treat a celebrated career public servant so cavalierly for seeking benefits based on performance of his duties.
We call on the Mayor to re-instate the Fire Chief immediately and to follow the law and allow the State fund to provide him the Health benefits he so dearly earned.
