it should be replaced with a statue of Hiawatha.
The Iroquois are local to our state, gave us the idea of representative democracy, allowed us to create the Erie canal, but most of all fought in multiple wars as our allies. We would not have America without the Iroquois, they gave us the ability to found The United States

Christopher Columbus was not a hero and does not deserve to be commemorated as such. Replace the statue with something worthy of the city of Utica!

I’m tired of staring at a rapist every time I go to visit my Aunt. My heart aches for the Oneida Natives and all Natives across America, this man represents blatant lies and murderous behaviors.
