UTD: Offer Lecture Recordings to those who attend in-person Lectures
Many studies have concluded that rewatching lectures help students perform better in their classes. I personally have benefitted from rewatching recordings. I usually use the lecture time to pay attention, ask questions, not be concerned with hurrying to take notes, and then watch the recording for further understanding and pause whenever needed for taking notes. We all learn at a different pace, and sometimes I have to rewind the lecture to grasp all the information thoroughly. I understand that recording lectures might be a nuisance to some professors. Still, I think that professors would recognize the benefits of this system when students score higher grades on average.
Many professors share the sentiment that students don't/ won't attend in-person lectures if recordings are being offered. To that argument, I propose having a system in place where only the class attendees have access to the recording of the lectures.
