Uplift the 21 year old tobacco ban for military members
Uplift the 21 year old tobacco ban for military members
Why this petition matters
To whom it may concern,
My name is Braden Zimmerman. I’m from Tooele Utah, and I believe that the recent law change increasing the age requirement to purchase tobacco products should be waived for military members. I know this may seem like a joke but it isn’t. I have many close friends that serve for our country and have heard more than once that one of the only things that gets them through a weekend of drill or just duty in general is a good nicotine rush. Many of which have been purchasing tobacco products for more than a year and a half legally. In the short time this change has been around I have had many complaints about how it is preposterous that these men and women can put their lives on the line for their country but they have been stripped of something that makes their military life a little bit easier. If there is anything you could do about this I know that many service members of our community and maybe even beyond would be very appreciative. Thank you for your time.
