My name is Sara Rodriguez. I’m writing this letter to raise awareness and make a change to discrimination being treated unfair in a work place.  September 2018 I was hired to work for Gut Whisperer PC gastroenterology clinic. 1543 west 12600 south Ste 102 Riverton, Utah 84065. I was hired to work on scheduling procedures and intake all incoming referrals. Since I worked at this doctors office I started to realize the office manager Barbara Woodard has favoritism traits that lead to me being treated unfairly. She is unapproachable, and has poor skills for an Office Manager.  Since I was hired there has been multiple employees that have been let go or just resigned because of her. For our 2019 bonus she passed out the regular paychecks, And being that she has poor skills she did not check to see if they were in fact the bonus checks. After multiple employees went to her and asked if a $700 or more was really a bonus check Including all deductions from insurance and taxes. She simply looked up at the employees and said “yes that is your bonus check” In fact it was not the bonus check. Several employees went on to spend their paycheck thinking it was a bonus check , and by the end of the day I went to her and made her look at my “bonus check” to make sure. That is when she realized she made a mistake and passed out our paychecks instead of bonus checks. After  that incident one of the newer employees that had spent her first paycheck thinking it was her bonus check quit the next day. I know for a fact the people that sign my petition support my voice for change, and have been a personal victim of or seen her poor management skills first hand and/or discrimination. I myself have been fired by her because of work that was not only my responsibility, other Colleagues in the office had been assigned too as well. I have seen her put hands in employee’s faces to try to get her point across , and slap employees with Office papers on their heads when she is frustrated, including in front of patients. There is a particular employee that she calls in her office to ask her about other employees around our office and when this employee gives her information she goes off to punish other employees and automatically assumes that this particular employee is giving correct information. That is discrimination at its finest and 100% favoritism also very low and poor behavior as a manager.  I’m not asking for a job back I’m asking for awareness and consequences. To everyone who does sign the petition is raising their voice to make a change as well and see the correct consequences being made. I appreciate your support dearly.
