UPDATE THIS IS THE CORRECTED TYPE OF PETITION FOR THE COUNTY!

We the residents of Utah County request that a temporary mask mandate be implemented for six weeks. We request this due to research that shows that wearing a mask or face covering that covers both a persons nose and mouth helps flatten the curve and spreading of COVID-19. We request that the officials of Utah County take into consideration the impact and positive magnitude that a mandate will bring. We believe and agree, the CDC when it says that wearing a mask for 6 consecutive weeks will not only help but also make a difference for our community in the journey to getting a handle on this COVID-19 outbreak and pandemic.

We request that our local government officials listen to our voices and act in a proper manner by implementing a temporary mask mandate.
