Currently, the Utah State Board of Education is trying to mix FBLA and DECA into 1 state competition. These two organizations have unique events, are ran by different people, traditions are different, and many more differences. 

While supporting each other is healthy, merging the conferences defeats the purpose of having two separate, UNIQUE, organizations. 

Currently, a lot of students are involved in both clubs. By having a conference that is so short, some students will have to make a choice to pick either FBLA or DECA.
