We invite you to join our journey  Over a decade ago, Baltimorean music producer David "SellieSwaggr" Howard II (aka Sellie & Swagg) was incarcerated for Hobbs Act racketeering conspiracy, and related weapons charges. He was sentenced to a draconian 32-years plus one day for "stacked" 924(c) firearm convictions.

The FIRST STEP ACT passed into law by Congress in 2019 deemed the practice of "stacking" 924(c) sentences for multiple firearm offenses in the same indictment UNLAWFUL. Congress determined that federal prosecutors were misinterpreting the law, and that the "stacking" practice was used disproportionately against young Black men. White men and "other" races received "relief" from stacking practices according to a 2012 report by the U.S. Sentencing Commission.

Attorneys at the Federal Public Defender's Office in Greenbelt, Maryland have filed a motion for compassionate release on Sellie's behalf, in light of the LAW CHANGE and "a lung condition" that makes Sellie "more vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus", according to court filings. Family, friends, and supporters in the community flooded the Federal Court in Baltimore with letters of support for Sellie's resentencing and release from custody.

During his incarceration, Sellie has been committed to bettering and educating himself and those around him by being an example to others. Sellie worked his way out of the Federal penitentiary and was moved to a medium security compound. While housed at FCI Cumberland, he acted as a program facilitator alongside Maurice "Peanut" King, Tony Lewis Sr.. (FREE TONY LEWIS), Kevin Jones-Bey and others, for a groundbreaking BOP (Bureau Of Prisons) pilot program called Young Men Incorporated (YMI). Founded by Dominic "Chip" Henry, the program featured a peer-to-peer mentorship platform between older influential prisoners and younger prisoners. While incarcerated, Sellie also co-produced smash 2021 hit single "I'm Popular with Trench Music artist Test from Freebandz.

The laws have changed and unfortunately, Sellie's case seems to be continuously overlooked and ignored. We are still waiting for Sellie's release. Please sign and share this petition to bring attention to his case. #FREESELLIE #CRIMINALJUSTICEREFORM
