We are calling on Vice Chancellor Karen O'Brien to use the funds from unpaid staff wages retained from UCU strike action to increase the provision of student mental health services available at the University, directly impacting student education.
The services currently provided are unacceptable and fully booked early in the term, preventing many students accessing them.
There is a desperate need for an increase in the provision of mental health services, especially given the reduction in contact hours caused by the strikes worsening an already abysmal situation.
