So over the past few weeks, people have been putting up rainbows and signs in their windows to say thank you to all the key workers - I think that it's an amazing idea. However, many people have been putting up the pride flag (with 6 colours) instead of the rainbow (which has 7 colours). 

It is very down heartening for the LGBTQ+ community to find out that the pride flag they have fought for has been used as a sign for "hope". The community have been using it for almost 45 years and suddenly it has been used for another purpose.

Many people have objected against using the 6 colour rainbow as a sign for the key workers. Although I have no problem with using the 7 colour rainbow I would like for people to stop using the 6 colour pride flag alongside it.
